So what is dementia?

In reality, most 'dementia's are an easily treated processing disorder. Most of what we have been told about this condition is simply not true.

Most of what we have been told about dementia, comes from people who do not understand cognition as a function, and who are not involved in the active treatment of cognitive issues.

As a consequence, what we  hear about dementia and cognition comes from a very superficial view of these issues.

That superficial perspective only ever looks at the ripples on the pond.

lens, focus

When we do look beneath the surface, we are able to see exactly where these cognitive issues are arising from, and fix many of them.

connect the dots
Many forms of dementia arise because damage to the brain disrupts the person's ability to connect the dots and make sense of their world.

Information gets left out, as a consequence of this.

While this is not true of all forms of dementia, it is certainly the cause in most.

The Visual Perceptual Therapy is a new generation therapy, which allows us to go to the heart of cognitive issues, see what is going on and to get some truly amazing results.

It's like looking at cognition under a microscope or scanner, and working from there.
